Welcome to my blog about my trip to Zürich, Switzerland! My name is Jessica Weng and I’m a rising senior in Brown College at Rice University, Houston, TX studying Biochemistry and Cell Biology. This summer, I have an amazing opportunity to do research for nine weeks in Dr. Martin Ackermann’s laboratory at ETH Zürich on the phenotypic heterogeneity of virulence of Salmonella enterica. This opportunity would not have been possible without funding from the Wagoner Scholarship and the ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship!
This blog serves as a space for my reflections before, during, and after the trip. I am always open to constructive feedback.
Thank you for reading! 🙂
